Fine Float

The popular Fine Float has been renewed in 2025 to raise this popular product to new levels. Fine Float has long been popular in Japan and the United States for anglers needing a high-performance nylon line with buoyant, floating characteristics. This new version was developed to have greater water repellency for increased buoyancy and to have a brighter yellow color for increased visibility. The increased water repellency prevents water absorption which decreases the strength of nylon lines.  The specific gravity of this version was reduced to 1.10 from 1.14 to increase buoyancy. which is normal for most nylon lines. A proprietary material blend was developed to achieve these improved features while not reducing any strength to the line which can happen with normal blended nylons. Finally, Fine Float features Sunline’s proprietary Plasma Rise treatment as the final step in manufacturing. This molecular surface treatment is much more effective than a traditional coating and makes the line last longer, cast further, have greater abrasion resistance and improve longevity of this line. Fine Float is a great choice for anglers looking for floating or neutrally buoyant nylon lines.
